Kit Consultant
Your email, automated with Kit.
Your list has grown, but the sequences and tags behind it have tangled. I'm the Kit (formerly ConvertKit) consultant who sorts them out and keeps them that way.
Get startedWhat I do
Kit, done properly
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) is a brilliant tool for creators and marketers, but a list that's grown organically — with tangled tags, half-finished sequences and forms nobody can find — rarely does it justice. The difference is in the details: clean segmentation, sequences designed around how people actually buy, and automations that don't quietly break.
That's where I come in. Whether you're starting from scratch or untangling something that's grown messy, I build Kit automations that are reliable, understandable, and genuinely fit your business.
Kit projects include
- Welcome and nurture sequences that convert
- Visual automations and subscriber journeys
- Forms, landing pages and sign-up flows
- Tagging, segmentation and subscriber organisation
- Connecting Kit to the rest of your marketing stack
- Cleaning up and fixing existing Kit automations
The role
What a Kit consultant does
The same four stages on every project, whether it's one sequence or a full account rebuild.
Decide what's worth automating
Not every idea needs a sequence. I map how subscribers actually move through your business, then build the few that change the outcome.
Design it before building it
Which tags matter, what happens when someone joins two sequences at once, where people exit. Getting that right first is most of the job.
Build for how people really behave
Subscribers sign up twice, reply mid-sequence, or buy before the pitch arrives. The automation has to handle that without sending the wrong email.
Hand it over properly
Tags named consistently, sequences documented, logic explained. You shouldn't need me on call to change a delay.
Who this is for
Not everyone needs a Kit consultant
This is probably for you if
- You're a creator or small team losing hours to repetitive work.
- Your tags and sequences have tangled and you're no longer sure what fires when.
- You're paying for Kit features you've never managed to use.
- You want to understand what was built, so you can change it later without me.
Probably not if
- You need the cheapest option. I'm not it, and I won't pretend otherwise.
- You want an agency with account managers and a delivery team behind them.
- You want someone to write your emails. I build the systems, not the copy.
- You'd rather hand it over and never look at how it works.
How we work together
Three ways to work on Kit
Pick the one that matches the size of the job. All three are fixed price, agreed before anything gets built.
Fix or build one sequence
A focused half day, around four hours, on one sequence. You bring the problem; I diagnose, fix or build it in the session.
A bigger Kit build, in one day
A full day, around eight hours, for something more involved — a bigger build, or several sequences in one go.
Your Kit sequences, built in a week
Four days to map, design and build one area of your business properly. Fixed price for the week, scope agreed before anything starts.
Why work with me
Six reasons clients choose me for Kit
Kit expertise
I know the platform deeply — sequences, visual automations, tagging, segmentation, and the patterns that keep an email system reliable.
Developer background
A web developer past means I'm comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and the technical edges where email tools meet the rest of your stack.
Built around your business
I design automations that fit how you actually work, not a generic template bolted onto your processes.
Clear communication
I explain every decision plainly, so you understand what we've built and can maintain it yourself.
One-on-one
You work directly with me from start to finish — no account managers, no handoffs to a junior team member.
Practical, not breathless
I'm honest about what automation can and can't do, and I won't over-engineer something that should stay simple.
Who I am
A developer who builds automations
I spent over six years helping small marketing teams and founders to streamline their operations through automation, CRM optimisation and connected marketing systems. Before that, I worked as a web developer and technical lead for major brands including NBC Universal, Bauer Publishing, and Haymarket Media Group.
That mix of developer background and hands-on marketing experience means I can tackle both the strategic and technical sides of Kit — and explain every decision clearly so you understand what we've built together.
I work one-on-one with every client. There are no intermediaries, no account managers, no handoffs to a junior team member. When you work with me, you get me.

Common questions
FAQ
Which service is right for me?
It depends on the size of the job. One sequence to fix or build is usually a half day (£450) or a full day (£800). A whole area of your business, where several sequences have to work together, is a one week sprint (£3,000). All three are fixed price, agreed before anything starts. Not sure? Get in touch and I'll point you to the right one.
Can you fix or improve an existing Kit setup?
Yes. Inheriting a messy or tangled set of sequences and tags is common. If it used to work and has stopped, start with a half day: I will diagnose the issue, and try and fix it within the half day. If it needs more time, I will let you know
Is this ConvertKit? I'm confused by the name.
Yes — Kit is the platform formerly known as ConvertKit. It's the same tool, just rebranded. If you're on ConvertKit, you're on Kit.
Do you only work in Kit?
Kit is one of the email platforms I work with, alongside ActiveCampaign and others. I also connect it to tools like Make, Zapier and Airtable. If Kit isn't the right tool for your problem, I'll tell you.
