Airtable Consultant

Your data, organised in Airtable.

Your data is spread across spreadsheets that have stopped coping. I'm the Airtable consultant who fixes the structure and turns it into a system your team will actually use.

What I do

Airtable, done properly

Airtable is powerful, but a base that started as a quick spreadsheet rarely stays tidy. Duplicated data, fields no one uses, and a structure that fights you every time your needs change — it adds up to a system you've outgrown.

That's where I come in. Whether you're starting from scratch or untangling something that's grown messy, I build Airtable bases that are reliable, understandable, and genuinely fit your business.

Airtable projects include

  • Base design — tables, fields and linked records
  • Automations to remove manual, repetitive work
  • Interfaces and dashboards for your team
  • Syncing data between Airtable and your other tools
  • Reporting, rollups and views that surface what matters
  • Restructuring and clean-up of a base that's grown messy

The role

What an Airtable consultant does

The same four stages on every project, whether it's one table or a full rebuild.

01

Decide what the base is for

Airtable will happily model anything, which is how bases sprawl. I work out what it genuinely needs to do before designing a single table.

02

Design the structure before filling it

Tables, fields and links get hard to change once real records depend on them. Time spent here is what saves you a migration later.

03

Build for how your team really works

People take shortcuts when a base fights them. The structure has to fit the way the work already happens, not the other way round.

04

Hand it over properly

Named clearly, documented, and explained. Your team shouldn't need me on call to add a field six months from now.

Who this is for

Not everyone needs an Airtable consultant

This is probably for you if

  • You're running the business out of spreadsheets that have stopped coping.
  • Your team keeps private copies of the same data because the shared one can't be trusted.
  • You've built a base yourself and it's now harder to change than it is to use.
  • You want to understand the structure, so your team can extend it without me.

Probably not if

  • You need the cheapest option. I'm not it, and I won't pretend otherwise.
  • You want an agency with account managers and a delivery team behind them.
  • You need a full custom application. At some point Airtable is the wrong tool, and I'll say so.
  • You'd rather hand it over and never look at how it works.

How we work together

Three ways to work on Airtable

Pick the one that matches the size of the job. All three are fixed price, agreed before anything gets built.

01 Half day

Fix or extend one base

A focused half day, around four hours, on one base. You bring the problem; I diagnose, fix or build it in the session.

£450 / the session
02 Full day

A bigger Airtable build, in one day

A full day, around eight hours, for something more involved — a bigger build, or several bases in one go.

£800 / the day
03 Week sprint

Your Airtable base, built in a week

Four days to map, design and build one area of your business properly. Fixed price for the week, scope agreed before anything starts.

£3,000 / per sprint

Why work with me

Six reasons clients choose me for Airtable

Airtable expertise

I know the platform deeply — data modelling, linked records, formulas, automations and interfaces that stay usable as you grow.

Developer background

A web developer past means I'm comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and the technical edges where no-code tools meet real systems.

Built around your business

I design bases that fit how you actually work, not a generic template bolted onto your processes.

Clear communication

I explain every decision plainly, so you understand what we've built and can maintain it yourself.

One-on-one

You work directly with me from start to finish — no account managers, no handoffs to a junior team member.

Practical builds

I'm honest about what automation can and can't do, and I won't over-engineer something that should stay simple.

Who I am

A developer who builds automations

I spent over six years helping small marketing teams and founders to streamline their operations through automation, CRM optimisation and connected marketing systems. Before that, I worked as a web developer and technical lead for major brands including NBC Universal, Bauer Publishing, and Haymarket Media Group.

That mix of developer background and hands-on marketing experience means I can tackle both the strategic and technical sides of Airtable — and explain every decision clearly so you understand what we've built together.

I work one-on-one with every client. There are no intermediaries, no account managers, no handoffs to a junior team member. When you work with me, you get me.

Common questions

FAQ

Which service is right for me?

It depends on the size of the job. One base to fix or build is usually a half day (£450) or a full day (£800). A whole area of your business, where several bases have to work together, is a one week sprint (£3,000). All three are fixed price, agreed before anything starts. The one exception is a base that used to work and has stopped — that starts with a diagnosis hour. Not sure? Get in touch and I'll point you to the right one.

Can you fix or restructure an existing Airtable base?

Yes. Inheriting bases that started simple and grew sprawling is common. If it used to work and has stopped, start with a diagnosis hour: you get what broke, what it takes to fix, and a fixed price. If it is more that the whole setup needs rethinking, a one week sprint is the better fit.

Can Airtable connect to my other tools?

Yes. I regularly connect Airtable to other apps using its API, native integrations, or automation platforms like Make and Zapier — so data flows automatically instead of being copied by hand.

Do you only work in Airtable?

Airtable is one of my core platforms, but I also work with Make, Zapier, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoom and others. If Airtable isn't the right tool for your problem, I'll tell you.
