Zapier Consultant

Your workflows, automated with Zapier.

Your tools don't talk to each other, and it's costing you hours every week. I'm the Zapier consultant who connects them and automates the work in between.

What I do

Zapier, done properly

Zapier makes it easy to connect almost anything, but a quick Zap thrown together in five minutes is usually not the one that keeps working with real world data. The difference is in the finder details — filters and paths, the right data formatting, and an automation design that won't fall over the first time something unexpected comes through.

That's where I come in as a Zapier consultant. Whether you're starting from scratch or untangling a pile of Zaps that's grown messy, I build Zapier automations that are reliable, understandable, and genuinely fit your business.

Zapier projects include

  • Connecting your apps and tools into automated Zaps
  • Multi-step Zaps with filters, paths and formatting
  • Lead capture and CRM syncing
  • Client onboarding and follow-up automation
  • Webhooks and custom API connections
  • Error handling, monitoring and clean-up of existing Zaps

The role

What a Zapier consultant does

As a Zapier consultant, I use the same four stages on every Zapier project to ensure you get working, reliable Zaps that work to give you the biggest business impact possible.

01

Decide what's worth automating

Not every manual task should become a Zap. I map your business workflows, automate the steps with the biggest impact, and leave the rest alone.

02

Design the Zaps before building

Where the logic lives, which paths handle which cases, what happens when a step fails. It is important to get this right before building the Zaps.

03

Connect your tools and Zapier setup

Connecting the systems that your business relies on. Full Zapier build out that handles different kinds of data, and with reliability built in.

04

Hand it over properly

I will document how the Zaps work, what they do and how you can update them. This ensures they remain under your control.

Who this is for

Not everyone needs a Zapier consultant

This is probably for you if

  • You're a founder or small team losing hours every week to repetitive work.
  • You already pay for tools that don't talk to each other.
  • You've built a few Zaps yourself and hit the limit of what you can do with them.

Probably not if

  • You need the cheapest possible option. That's not me.
  • You want an agency with account managers and a delivery team behind them.
  • Your processes change every few weeks. Nothing is stable enough to automate yet.

How we work together

Three ways to work on Zapier

Pick the one that matches the size of the job. All three are fixed price, agreed before anything gets built.

01 Half day

Fix or build one Zap

A focused half day, around four hours, on one Zap. You bring the problem; I diagnose, fix or build it in the session.

£450 / the session
02 Full day

A bigger Zapier build, in one day

A full day, around eight hours, for something more involved — a bigger build, or several Zaps in one go.

£800 / the day
03 Week sprint

Your Zaps, built in a week

Four days to map, design and build one area of your business properly. Fixed price for the week, scope agreed before anything starts.

£3,000 / per sprint

Why work with me

Six reasons clients choose me for Zapier

Zapier expertise

I know the platform deeply — multi-step Zaps, filters, paths, formatters, webhooks, and the patterns that keep automations reliable.

Developer background

A web developer past means I'm comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and the technical edges where no-code tools meet real systems.

Built around your business

I design automations that fit how you actually work, not a generic template bolted onto your processes.

Clear communication

I explain every decision plainly, so you understand what we've built and can maintain it yourself.

One-on-one

You work directly with me from start to finish — no account managers, no handoffs to a junior team member.

Practical builds

I'm honest about what automation can and can't do, and I won't over-engineer something that should stay simple.

Who I am

A developer who builds automations

I spent over six years helping small marketing teams and founders to streamline their operations through automation, CRM optimisation and connected marketing systems. Before that, I worked as a web developer and technical lead for major brands including NBC Universal, Bauer Publishing, and Haymarket Media Group.

That mix of developer background and hands-on marketing experience means I can tackle both the strategic and technical sides of Zapier — and explain every decision clearly so you understand what we've built together.

I work one-on-one with every client. There are no intermediaries, no account managers, no handoffs to a junior team member. When you work with me, you get me.

Common questions

FAQ

Which service is right for me?

It depends on the size of the job. One Zap to fix or build is usually a half day (£450) or a full day (£800). A whole area of your business, where several Zaps have to work together, is a one week sprint (£3,000). All three are fixed price for the timeframe, with the scope agreed before anything starts. Not sure? Get in touch and I'll point you to the right one.

Can you fix or improve an existing Zapier setup?

Yes. Inheriting a sprawling or broken set of Zaps is common. If it used to work and has stopped, start with a half day: I will diagnose the issue, and try and fix it within the half day. If it needs more time, I will let you know.

Should I use Zapier or Make?

Both are excellent — Zapier is often quicker to set up and has the widest app support, while Make can be more cost-effective for complex, high-volume workflows. I work in both, so I'll recommend whichever fits your problem rather than pushing one tool.

Which Zapier plan do I need?

It depends on the number of Zaps, the steps involved, and your task volume. We'll work out the right plan as part of any project — there's no need to have it figured out before we talk.

What is a Zap?

A Zap is a series of steps that run in sequence, each one pulling data from one source and pushing it to another. It's a powerful tool for connecting apps and tools together, but it can be tricky to get right. I'll help you understand what's going on, and how to make it work for you.

Do I need a Zapier consultant, or can I build it myself?

A Zapier consultant can help you set up a Zap in the most efficient way, but you can also build simple Zaps yourself if you have the time to learn how. I am available for 1:1 system coaching if you need help doing the right away.

What does a Zapier consultant cost?

The first stage in the process is System Mapping, where we understand your business goals, map out your workflows and the Zapier plan to automate it. You will then get a fixed price, fixed duration, quote

Do you work with UK businesses?

Yes. I am based in the UK and work with both UK businesses and globally. I have clients in the UK, US, Canada and elsewhere
